The water used is taken from a location 300 m from the coast, at a depth of 37 m, in order to guarantee its purity and genuineness without the addition of chemicals; it is changed every 24 hours in order to guarantee that the oligo-elements and the mineralisation remain intact. The concentration of the negative ions created by the sunlight and the movements of the air and the water are fundamental; these ions are very rarely found in the areas of urban development. They have the property of combining with pollens and bacteria, thus destroying them. In addition, by interacting with seratonin, a hormone associated to stress related disorders, these negative ions provoke a beneficial and relaxing effect on the nervous system. Rich in oligo-elements, iodine, phyto and zoo plankton, the water of the Mediterranean Sea is used at a temperature of 34° C (that of the ocean has a lower concentration). Its extraordinary similarity to blood plasma favours the chemical exchange between its components and those of the body through a mere contact with the skin, thus creating a complete regeneration of the cells. High in minerals, the water of the Mediterranean Sea can be used in the form of baths, water jets and hydro-massages.
